Lessons may be tailored to the individual horse and rider team or in the following format

   Centered Riding

For all levels and types of riding. Can be scheduled as an actual lesson in front of an audience or as workshops without horses. Many exercises are incorporated which are informative and fun. Mitzi is one of approximately 15 level IV Centered Riding Instructors in the world.  She has worked with Sally Swift, and taught with her at many seminars such as Equine Affaire in Ohio, Rochester, and Springfield, Mass.  Mitzi has taught Centered Riding workshops throughout the United States,      Canada, Europe, and New Zealand.

Teach The Teacher Workshop

This format includes examples of lessons taught, including insufficient or unsafe lessons, and workshops on specifics to help interested people who would like to teach or train. It is of great benefit to instructors to introduce new ideas and share with others

Dressage For All Disciplines

Dressage is applicable to all forms of riding. Basic dressage principles help your trail, hunt seat, jumper, dressage or pleasure horse.  This clinic is set up for all levels.

"As The Judge Sees It"

The format can be varied, with Mitzi watching a "class" of horses and placing them with reasons and training suggestions, or people joining in the judging after receiving a workshop on judging.

Gentling Techniques On The Ground

The format can be used with horses brought in for Mitzi to work with, or a " workshop", working WITH   people with their horses. Indeed "Training You To Train Your Horse.

"

Reschooling The Thoroughbred and Standardbred Racehorse

Mitzi uses methods for reschooling the horse that she has explained in her articles in "Thoroughbred Horse" magazine.  The method she uses for Thorooughbreds and Standardbreds can be used for Park Horses as well. Audience participation is encouraged in all of these workshops, actual "hands-on" if that is the format desired, and questions encouraged in all clinics.

Handling Fear....Riding Or Handling Horses

A laid-back clinic designed to bring back the feelings that for us involved with horses in the first place-love of the animal, whether riding or handling it. A stress-free atmosphere is encouraged, and an understanding of the origins of the fear is explored. All aspects of being comfortable with horses can be explored, whether it be just mounting and walking, cantering, or handling the horse from the ground. Many Centered Riding techniques are applicable to the subject.
